On the occasion of the market release of Intel Edison board, a serie of big hackathons were organised by Intel and BeMyApp around the world. I took part in the Paris edition. With a team of four other people, we worked on a smart dog collar project.
We used an intel edison board and many SeedStudio Grove sensors to prototype a smart sensor board that detects barking, movements and body temperature. I was responsible for the embedded software and sensor processing code, while the rest of the team worked on the server-side application, the communication protocol, and the concept presentation.
We won the third prize, for the originality of our idea.
